Great quality

This newly released edition of The Wizard of Oz is wrapped in genuine cloth, (unlike the previous hardcover editions of the Puffin Classics which were wrapped in embossed paper to give the appearance of cloth). The cover is a noticeably darker green than shown in the stock image, but still reminiscent of a very deep green emerald. The gold foil adds an elevated touch with an authentic looking reflective sheen that envelopes the front, back, and spine with a generous amount of sparkle. Inside, the text is nicely formatted; the type face, line spacing, letting, go well with the easily readable font size and create a harmonious visual. This already excellent story now has an even more pleasant reading experience. There is a ribbon book mark, which is a new feature for the Puffin Classics, and a little nice bonus. The ribbon is yellow, slim, and non-intrusive. I find this book surprisingly lightweight considering the materials and sturdy construction. These well curated features make this new edition a particularly nice addition to any home library or classic collection, and a great way to share this story as a quality gift.

Collector edition for sure!

This was a wonderful hard cover edition, a gift for our daughter on her birthday. My husband read this to her every night creating a bond between father and daughter they will be remembered for all time. I could hear him every night reading and doing all the characters voices. Her eyes would just light up and sparkle every night when they read this Amazing Classic.

The book is beautiful and I'm eager to read it. I did order another copy for a friend. Just be aware the shipping takes forever on this item!

Wonderful edition of a classical book! A must if you like children's books!

Comprei a edição puffin clothbound. O livro é em capa dura e em tecido. A edição possui fita marca página amarela, algumas ilustrações e papel tipo jornal. A diagramação é muito boa, fonte grande. Ele um pouco mais alto que os outros livros da editora. Bom para colecionar.
