Works well with Windows 11
This converter works well on my Windows 11 laptop. The application I used that needs a RS 232 port, recognizes the com port and communicates with the field equipment properly.

Affordable serial connectivity that works
Works great. Recognized immediately by my Linux system as ttyUSB1, and able to use it successfully with an old analog modem and some terminal software to do dial-up like it's 1995.

It works, great 9 pin serial to USB adapter
Got this to use with my Motorola 9 pin serial that requires a RIB box to rear and write to the radio (Motorola XTS5000) Installation is super easy. Plugged it into my Windows 11 laptop and the drivers was automatically installed and assign a com port. The cable is well made with some good strain relief on the end of the connectors. Length wise it's longer than what I needed but that's not a cons. Haven't tested this in the older windows machine so I can't tell if it works or not but so far it works great on my Windows 11 laptop and Windows 10 desktop. So anything older than that, you might have a compatibility issues. Like I had mentioned before. It works with the Motorola programming cable without the need for a RIB box. No issues on connectivity even after I disconnect the cable and plug it in again into another USB port.

Driver and Windows update.
Had to get the driver from their website. Could not get to work until after I updated Windows. Used 4 times so far and is still working.

Better than pro
Downloaded drivers, but didn't nรจed em. Windows 11 already did it for me for home and arm. Now able to use temperature data recorder made for 98 and xp. Could not get prolific one to work right, but the FTDI did

OUTSTANDING VALUE
If I considered the time and expense to build these cables I couldn't match the quality and low cost that these provide. This is a repeat order for us simply because the work so well ...

Worked perfect with my Windows 11 laptop
I replaced my old bulky dongle that would not work with my windows 11 laptop to program old equipment. It worked perfectly with no issue loading drivers or connecting to serial Equipment. Also,I like that it is a full 6 foot cable and very low mass.

I tried connecting to an old cnc machine loader interface with an old laptop and old cable and it didn't work so I was very sceptical about using this new cable with a new laptop/windows 11. The cable was plug and play, no driver download needed and the connection to my machine worked perfectly. I don't normally write reviews but this one took me by surprise and deserved sharing.

Perfect
Bought this to replace my old cable when they retired the driver for this. I needed it to work on a Windows 11 VM on a Mac, so it will handle the ARM architecture. Plugged it in and worked straight away. Excellent cable.
