Had a little trouble determining how to strap it on my back, and I also noticed that a lot of the reviews indicated that they could not figure it out. How I did it was to lengthen the adjustable strap to it's fullest and then loop it around the top and clip it into the ring. This eliminates the "triangle" strap design for carrying it on your hip and keeps it straight up on the back so that you can reach behind you to grab arrows. Since you can loosen it somewhat in this configuration, it can be switched to the hip without unhooking the single strap and still gives you the correct angle for wearing on your belt.Hope this helps, seems like some frustrated customers that wanted to wear this on their back but could not. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quiver strap mystery *by I***E on February 26, 2019* I bought this quiver to satisfy my need for a traditional quiver that could be used for wearing on the hip or back. Despite reading many reviews regarding confusion on how to wear it on your back, I decided to get it anyway, and see if I could figure it out. When The quiver arrived, I was very satisfied with how it looked and the quality of it. I already knew I would leave the cardboard tube in it, to keep it's shape as previously noted in other reviews (more on this later).As there was no instructions on how to position the straps for wearing it on ones back (hip mounting was self explanatory), I fiddled with the strap configurations several different ways, until I came upon a way that works really good for me, and still remains basically unaltered so I could go back to the hip wearing method.The first thing I did was take the lower hip strap off of the metal circle ring and attach a separate circle ring (mine) to it. I then take the long strap and thread it through the upper hip strap circle ring, then angle it down and attach it to the new lower hip strap circle ring. This length can be adjusted down at the buckle at the bottom of quiver. This allows the quiver to remain high over my shoulder, to access arrows easily and keeps the quiver very stable. To put on, or take off quiver, just unclip the hook from the lower circle ring.As for the cardboard tube I left in to keep it's shape, it didn't last very long before it broke down, and arrows tore it up where they enter the quiver. I solved this problem by rolling up a plastic dinner table placemat and installing it inside quiver all the way till it hit the bottom. This left about 4-5" of floppy quiver at the top. I then took a small plastic peanut-butter jar and cut of the bottom out of it. I took the placemat out of the quiver and duct taped it to the jar, making sure I taped the placemat on the OUTSIDE of the jar, so arrows wouldn't hang up on the edge when entering quiver.I hope this will help anybody who likes and wants to get this beautiful traditional quiver, but had reservations because of the strap configuration. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice quiver *by C***! on January 14, 2014* This was a Christmas gift for my young archer. It has been very icy since Christmas so he has not been able to practice but the quiver itself was a big hit! The suede is very good quality and he especially likes that he can hook it to his belt or pocket (for when he is practicing archery) OR wear it on his back which will go well with games or halloween dress up. There is an inner sleeve of cardboard that was there to help it keep shape during shipping and we have decided to leave it inside to make sliding the arrows in and out quicker & easier (for now).
