Da mir letztlich nur die Funktion wichtig war und ich eigentlich nur ein gutes Schleifgerät für Küchenmesser gesucht habe, haben wir und für die Kunststoff-Version und nicht die deutlich teurere Edelstahl-Variante entschieden. Der Kunststoff ist hochwertig. Er hält seit gut einem Jahr und sieht aus, wie am ersten Tag, trotz Reinigung in der Spühlmaschine.Das Schleifen ist kinderleicht. Ein paar mal durch den Grobschliff (Messerspitze zeigt nach vorne-unten) dann ein paar mal durch den Feinschliff (Messerspitze zeigt nach vorne-oben) und schon ist das Messer richtig-sau-scharf. Schnell hat es bei meiner Frau blutige Finger gegeben. Aber durch Schmerz lernt man (Frau) und sie passt jetzt besser auf.Das tolle ist, die Verwendung ist mit der mitgelieferten Anleitung super einfach und ist für jedermann sofort umsetzbar, ohne viel Übung.
