We're on the level. Leveling, measuring, and stud finding tools are accurate, compact, and easy to use. CRAFTSMAN stud finders can accurately identify stud edges or center points as well as energized wires. Our three laser distance measurers provide accuracy measurements at the click of a button. Two out of the three will also allow for easy area and volume calculation capabilities.

Review: tricky to get it working - This thing works great--when you know how to use it properly. You have to have the device against the wall before turning it on. While holding it against the wall, press and hold the button on the side (it will do one long beep and the light will stay green- DONT LET GO OF THE BUTTON), now swipe it across the wall. It will beep and glow red once you've found a stud. If you press the power button before contact with the wall, it will give false readings. It's a great bang for buck (I'm just hanging shelves nothing serious), but it's a bit frustrating to get working right away. Also it doesn't come with a 9V battery, so there's that.

Will last for years!!!! It is an indispensable item for anyone who has ever wanted to hang ,or hans hung,anything of 'weight' on their wall.. It is well worth the cost effective price. it will cost you more to repair/patch your wall and replace what was broken when it fell off the wall because you didn't hit the stud. AND I really like that this little gadget lets you know when you are at the edge of a stud. VERY HELPFUL! You want to be dead on center when at all possible.especially if you're hanging a mirror..... not that I can say I don't enjoy the sound of breaking glass.....but it's rather dangerous to clean up that kind of mess. Yep. Everyone should have one of these.

This thing works great--when you know how to use it properly. You have to have the device against the wall before turning it on. It will beep and glow red once you've found a stud. If you press the power button before contact with the wall, it will give false readings. It's a great bang for buck (I'm just hanging shelves nothing serious), but it's a bit frustrating to get working right away. Also it doesn't come with a 9V battery, so there's that.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Compact stud finder, missing some quality of life features

The stud finder works great, however it does have some quality of life features missing from it. When you find a stud the edge light comes on, however this light stays on throughout the entirety of the stud instead of showing that you are no longer on an edge. This doesn't take away from the performance of it, however it is a little quirk this stud finder has. Also, there is no laser that displays on the wall for easy marking, what this stud finder has is a notch in the finder itself to use for marking. There are also no changes in tone or any means of displaying that you are near the middle of the stud. If you are looking for a stud finder with those features, this stud finder will not be for you. What this stud finder does great at is quickly locating studs while being in a very compact shape.
