**Q: is it possible to shorten the cable a little either side of the switch? Can the switch be taken apart safely?**
A: No.

**Q: Does this have  an earth wire or is it just live & neutral**
A: 2 Core only. If this is to be wired into a lampholder then the lampholder has to be plastic. Metal lampholders must always have a 3 core cable with an earth.

**Q: How do you add a bayonet fitting on top for lightbulb**
A: Amazon sell a vast selection of light fittings for this. You just have to connect the two wires up inside and you're ready to go.

**Q: I'm using this to power led lights - do i need to remove the plating around the end of the wires before use?**
A: If by plating you mean solder, then no, leave the solder on the wires.
