Well built. Very heavy - assume that is the fire proofing material. Handle & lock appear to be solidly built and secure. Very nice finish. Holds more than you would expect!

After four years of use handle broke off completely as a security safe box supposedly fire proof handle made out of plastic could have just burned off if there was fire just nothing a design flaw.

safe seems pretty sturdy except the handle, it is pretty flimsy and feels like it would/will break easy..would not want use safe for travel without making some kind of extra carry handle..the latch is a big improvement over the h2100 safe it replaced..

Pro: Looks well constructed. Fits 9x12 envelopes but not 10x13. Not too heavy to lift.Con: Rubber gasket came loose in one day, so not waterproof. Lock flimsy, could pry open with screwdriver, might pop open in fire.Bottom line: Save you money for better product.

If you are looking for a Fire Safe and Secure safe to prevent your valuables from being stolen it will cost a lot more... So to get a SAFE that is also Fireproof, look for features that the safe is UL Classified to endure 1 hour at 1700°F that will keep interior temperatures safe for irreplaceable documents and valuables...

Va fenomenal para guardar en ella toda la documentación de la vivienda y polizas, y pertenencias de valor... puedo decir que de verdad funcionan, soy bomberos y en mas de una ocasión me a tocado recogerlas a petición de la aseguradora, y a pesar de que el plastico se desace, el resto sigue intacto y sin sufrir desperfectos en su interior ni por calor ni por agua, yo tengo 2 en mi domicilio y las recomiendo 100%.

First of all, I did not expect the size and weight of this thing! It’s huge!! And, it’s also pretty heavy. It’ll fit stuff nicely except one thing. You’ll need to fold an 8-1/2x11 sheet since it won’t sit properly, but other than that, so far no complaints. I used to have a small metal safety box, but it’s no where close to this. With this, I’d be confident my stuff is safe!
