I had to drill through several walls, which all consisting of concrete and stucco over adobe walls. I also had to drill through sandstone and it worked great there as well. It makes a clean entrance and exit despite the hard yet brittle materials. The only note that I have, when renting the drill from a local rental store, Home Depot in my case, I needed an adapter. Since Home Depot didn’t provide this, I had to purchase that separately. Also realize that if you are renting a drill, you will want to know the insertion end. BI to BS in my case, using a Hilti DD-150-U.
