Right now, I have to find products that come close and then blend them with other products to get what I like.This one is really close to being great but it just misses the mark on moisture. I like more about it than the last several products I have tried.By the way, I have semi-coarse, high porosity, and medium-density 4C type hair. I style buy doing a 2-strand twist that I then do a sort of Bantu knot with.PROS:-It is very thick and rich so it a little will go a long way-Doesn't stink. I hate products that stink or are too perfume-y-It's decently moisturizing on hair that's a few days past a wash.-When used while twisting my hair, it helps the style hold. It really helps in that way- It is not in the least bit greasy. I used very lightly and was able to touch my hair without coming away with reside or oil.-Does not leave the hair crunchy (and, yes, there are some "moisturizing" products that do)- Even after sleeping on my hair, it retained the hold of the styleCONS:-Not something I can use unless I dampen my hair. Hair needs to be wet or damp for this to work well. The damper the hair, the better.-It doesn't seem to absorb well on hair that is only slightly damp (but the instructions are to use on wet hair, so...)- I did end up having to use another moisturizing spray to get the full results I like when I used this on hair that was hair that was first-day washed.Overall, this comes pretty close to being what I like in a leave-in. I plan to put some of it in a separate container to mix in some StaSofFro. It softens the hair but when the gel is added it clumps up.
