Review: Absorbs smoke well. A little inconvenient uses lot of batteries - Ashtray does greatly reduce smoke. A little inconvenient and bulky. No a/c adapter. Battery life is ok as long as you don't forget and leave it on, which I do a lot. That wipes out a new battery in a few hours. It is very quiet, making it easy to forget it's on. I recommend a rechargeable battery. Awkward to empty, because of dividers, have to shake an turn to empty all sides. I'm gonna retire it for occasional use and purchase on with a/c adapter.
Review: These are just awful products period. - I bought 2, the batteries might last a week, the suction was decent but they are messy, already had to buy new filters, they're noisy, blow tiny ash through the filter vents, collect more ash inside where the fan sucks in the smoke, can't get them clean because of the poor designed top piece, my cigarette falls out because it's not deep enough unless I put it in sideways. I want my money back as these were expensive. Totally disgusted with the product. The fan gets loud and obnoxious. They're just not worth it.

**Q: Is there a particular way the filters should be facing?**
A: YES, the WHITE fuzzy part should be facing out, facing you. Hope this helps.

A: Battery operated.

**Q: does it come with batteries?  if not, which ones does is take?**
A: Mine didn't come with batteries nor does it take AA batteries. It says it takes UM 1 batteries on the machine which means it takes a D battery but that's incorrect also. Mine takes two "C" cell batteries.

**Q: Upon purchase the product it ran quietly.  now after less than a months use the motor has become very noisy.  why???**

Ashtray does greatly reduce smoke. A little inconvenient and bulky. No a/c adapter. Battery life is ok as long as you don't forget and leave it on, which I do a lot. That wipes out a new battery in a few hours. It is very quiet, making it easy to forget it's on. I recommend a rechargeable battery. ### ⭐⭐⭐ World's Best Smokeless Ashtray

Well if this is the worlds best we're in trouble. The unit seems effective in pulling in the smoke, but it is extremely loud. This and a couple other shortcomings is why I give it three instead of four or even five stars. I bought two of these and they are both very loud so I doubt any of them are quiet. Examining the inside and outside it looks well made electronically and physically, but they need to figure out a way to quiet the fan. It also was designed to work with up to king size cigarettes but certainly not for 100's or cigars. You must put them in at an angle through the archway slots in top because of the dividers, and if top is removed it won't be as effective filtering smoke. Once they quiet the fan and make it better accomodate cigars and 100s it may indeed be the worlds best. I have oiled fans with WD-40 and tried all kinds of things to quiet them without success. I have had these for several weeks now and they are still noisy. I have changed the batteries and filters a few times and I am not disappointed in the frequency required. I obviously use them, but I do wish they were quieter. To bad I can't post a sound file here to show you the noise the two I have make. If you wear a hearing device you can turn down or use earplugs these may indeed be the best for you. Pros: * Very sturdy plastic construction * Ashtray section can be removed and ran through dishwasher * 2 C Batteries will last for several uses * Filters work well and can be easily replaced Cons: * A disturbing fan noise * Difficult to fit 100s or cigars CA Luster
