I use the gallon size container of roundup pro that is water soluble granular and there is a cup that comes with it and you can make it 3 oz per gallon verses 1.5 oz per gallon. You can still use the other stuff but would have to apply 2 bags in order to achieve the 3 oz per gallon ratio. I find that I have more control with the ratio depending on the severity of my weed problems. **Q: How much area does one gallon cover?** A: Each 1.5 oz. pack per gallon of water covers approx 1000 sqft **Q: what is the expiration date of the product?** A: Kathleen, I checked the boxes I have left and found them to have been manufactured on 02/20/2015, or maybe that is the expiration date; I'm not sure. That is the only dates I can find. What I am sure of is that what I have works extremely well and is by far less expensive that purchasing the liquids from retail outlets.
