Review: It does everything - I didn't expect much from it when purchasing because it's simply a new technology that I'm not used to. I bought it for the purpose of having a usb-3 port for my macbook 12. As a matter of fact, it sat on my desk for a few days before I even open it up. I've used this a few times now and found that I didn't not disappoint me in any way. It acted as a usb output and provides energy to charge my phone, it connected with my cannon printer, and it was able to charge with the ipad 29W wall charger. I used the wall charger with this adapter to charge my iphone. I wouldn't be surprised if it can charge my macbook 12. Bottom line, great built with high quality cable. Only 1 problem is that the usb-c tip is a bit long and about 1.5mm longer than the apple's cable. This makes the connection weaker than if it were shorter and have the hard rubber base of the usb-c tip align with the side of the macbook.
