Review: The Perfect Drying Mat - Cannot rate this drying mat highly enough. I have a stainless steel sink, and this is the second one I have bought and wouldn't entertain any other. Noticed one of the reviewers mentioned that they sometimes had to clean underneath it as it didn't absorb as well as they thought it should. I have not found this to be true as it soaks up all the drips and even spills with not one single problem! It has protected my draining board from staining and scratches since 2020 and is the perfect size and colour.

**Q: Can you squeeze the excess water out to reuse quickly?**

Thank you for your enquiry.

If you wanted to squeeze the excess water you could although it would still be damp as it does retain the water from the implements that have dried on it.

This foldable mat absorbs 7 times its weight in water. You should then let it dry and fold it away, or put it in the washing machine first.

**Q: does this have a lining on the underside to prevent water from soaking through?**
A: No but if you dry your washing up straight away it's fine. If it leave it it have a lot water can go thru but would say it's damp rather than wet.  I have 2 and if the counter top is damp I wipe it down and swop to the other one putting the damp one on a towel rail to dry.

**Q: What’s the difference to a tea towel??**
A: It's highly absorbent - much thicker than a tea towel.  We're very pleased with ours - we bought two so we aren't without when one is in the wash!

Cannot rate this drying mat highly enough. I have a stainless steel sink, and this is the second one I have bought and wouldn't entertain any other. I have not found this to be true as it soaks up all the drips and even spills with not one single problem!
