The next section discussion making a set of runes, a rune pouch, and rune cloth. The next chapter discusses the runes in divination, where each rune's meaning, both bright-stave (upright) and merk-stave (reverse) is given. One thing the author did was she used the Norse names for many of the runes, but for others, the Anglo-Saxon names. In my opinion, she should have been consistent and used either Norse or Anglo-Saxon, but not both. The controversial blank rune (Wyrd) is discussed first, with the others in the Elder Futhark described in their usual order. The next chapter concerns principals of divination and rune layouts. She describes one-, three-, five-, and seven-rune layouts. I tried out the seven-rune layout concerning an issue I needed guidance about, and I found the result to be spot-on!
