It's made of a good soft plastic, which makes the phone a bit more "grippy" and won't slide around quite so much as the S4 slick back - but for example if you left it on the top of your car and drove away it would fall off. The case fits well, it's easy to get on and off but will stay on itself fine. It has a raised front to prevent the screen being scratched if you leave it face down, and it covers the silver edges of the phone that are getting a bit battered on my year old phone. The android robot pattern isn't too strong, you can only really see it when the light reflects from it.Initially I thought that the cutouts didn't align properly, but I now believe this is a fitting issue. Instead of putting it in corner first I find it better to slot the bottom of the phone square into the bottom of the case, make sure it's aligned well, then push the top in. When done this way the microphones, speaker, headphone socket etc are almost perfectly aligned. Putting it on any other way means the holes can be partially covered.All in all it's a nice, simple, slim case that will give my phone the scuff and small drop protection I was looking for. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great, inexpensive, minimalist case *by R***S on Reviewed in the United States on May 18, 2013* I ordered and tried about a half dozen different cases for my S4 and this is my favorite by far. It is very light and thin so it adds almost no bulk without being flimsy or cheap. The texture and pattern on the back are look and feel good. The sides look glossy but there is excellent grip. The cutouts on the sides allow direct and easy access to all buttons and ports. Most of the cases without cutouts make it harder to press the buttons. Everything aligns nicely.
