The adjustable size made it more helpful for someone like me who has naturally broad shoulders. The neoprene kept my shoulder warmer (a plus for me) but could chafe, so a product like aΒ  BodyGlide Anti-Chafing Stick 2.5oz , which I use kept me from chafing as long as I wasn't so active as to sweat it off. The arm strap may take some getting used to, but you have it figured out in a few attempts as you figure out how tight/loose you want it. It does take some time to hang dry, so washing it is something you might want to do before bed or your shower in the evening. If does inhibit your range of motion, but it is supposed to. I'd recommend it to anyone with rotator cuff problems that they are rehabbing. It also comes in a beige color for those who would prefer that. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars shoulder replacement *by E***L on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on July 29, 2013* I have a labrum tear, and I spent an enormous amount of time and energy with doctors, physical therapy, rest etc. It took me about 4/ 5 months to realize the extent of my injury (first doctor wasnt really a shoulder expert). Only the MRI revealed the SLAP type II lesion. I then looked for a shoulder specialist, who recommended physical therapy and rest. Another doctor who looked at the MRI suggested surgery, otherwise I wouldnt be able to return to my previous activities (yoga, surf, jiu-jitsu). Once I was done with physical therapy (almost 3 months) I tried to return to yoga, but started to feel ever increasing levels of pain. I searched for some kind of shoulder support, and found this shoulder wrap. To my surprise, it was the best thing I did to my shoulder. It basically restricts the speed and range of motion of the shoulder, avoiding excessive movement (it restricts the degrees of freedom of the shoulder, a clever way to avoid stress). Perhaps the straps could be better, they losen up too fast, but then I have been doing yoga and surfing with this thing (underneath a wetsuit). I improvised some "clips" to keep it in place. I was able to return to yoga and surfing, but no jiu-jitsu.
