The light is run in flash mode on all of my rides. Currently charging it up for the 4th time this year after almost 2500 miles ridden. Cannot be happier with the longevity of the charge which well exceeds what is promised. The brightness has been effective at warning oncoming drivers and has been the difference in preventing a couple of drivers from making poor decisions. Highly recommend this product. Bought it for my MTB so I don't have to worry about getting back before dark. But I have taken to also using it on my fat tire ebike when I occasionally have to ride on the street. I try to avoid riding on the street but sometimes I have to, to get from one path to the next. When riding on the street in daylight, I use the strobe and feel like it greatly enhances my visibility. At night, the brightest setting is just a bit too much for road use but excellent for off-road. Mounts just as easily to my MTB handlebars as to the steel basket on the front of my Rad Rover 6+ (about 1/2-inch diameter). If you are serious about long night rides in the moonless forest, there are probably better options.
