How many pieces and of what sizes comes in this? It is not explained well in the description , is it 4.25 x 5.75 total? or 10 times that?

the cloth is about 4.25" by 5.75" and you get 10 pieces.

How do you guys burnish with this? it takes too much off the leather and it becomes dull even with tokonole

Without knowing the application process you are using I would suggest that you use the tokonole sparingly (only apply it to the leather edges). I usually use some 100 to 250 grit sandpaper to smooth out the edges a little as well. I found these burning cloths to work well as intended. I would also recommend checking out some Weaver Leather videos if you haven't done so yet. Best wishes with your next attempt.
