Review: Cristin Harber = #MustRead - Confession time: I LOVE when a book is a perfect mix of Boy Meets Girl and The Bourne Identity. The entire Titan Series is just that - edge of your seat adventure/ steamy romance/ suspense thriller. SO GOOD. I have been a fan of the Titan series for a while now. In each installment, you get Alpha Males, black op assignments, really, really bad guys and a heroine who is every bit the badass as the hero. You do not need to read them in order, but I promise that once you read one, you will start one-clicking other titles like a champ. Black Dawn, Book 8 in the series, may be my favorite to date: computer hackers, secret identities and forbidden love abound! Like the rest of the series, Black Dawn is a fast paced, thrilling, extremely well written good time. Its one of those books that play out like a movie - an action movie Summer Blockbuster movie - and like many fans, I did not want to put the book down. Sometimes in the Contemporary Romance genre, settings and characters can become predictable: egotistical CEOS (with the kind of baggage you should probably check), new to the city innocent (with a broken heart and stubborn streak) meet in a major metropolis populated by millions, yet continue to cross paths daily... I am not knocking these plots - I have many books locked and loaded on my Kindle that follow that formula. But Cristin Harber's Titan series is SO MUCH MORE than your garden variety romance. There are action sequences and narrow escapes and weapons and undercover ops... it is both wonderfully entertaining and refreshingly uncommon. Do yourself a favor and read each title! Ideally, you would begin with Book 1 so that when the days comes that you pick up Parker's story, you will be more than ready! Black Dawn is about two undercover nerds who try to save the world - and each other - despite miles of hacker code between them. Anyone who is a closet nerd (or loves one) will appreciate the hi-tech humor and shout outs to a life lived in ones and zeroes. Much of Lexi's back story deals with domestic abuse, so if that is a trigger for you - heads up. This is such an incredible tale of real world friendship and cyber world teamwork - I sincerely loved everything about it.
Review: Cyber Soul Mates! - This is a hands down 5 star read! I have the maddest of love for Cristin Harber, and so do many others, judging by her accomplishments as a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author! We have been waiting for Parker’s story for a while, and it did not disappoint. I don’t usually do this in reviews, but I feel the need to offer my opinion on some issues that I have read in a few reviews of Black Dawn. First, I will caveat that this book could hold triggers for those that have suffered from domestic violence. If that is the case for you, then you might want to skip this one and enjoy the other Titan series reads, as they are all outstanding in different ways. That being said, I feel that Cristin nailed the ugliness, and emotional and physical aspects of abuse, and captured beautifully the irony and apparent contradiction demonstrated by a strong, intelligent, and accomplished woman who becomes afraid to leave a bad situation and has no self worth. This was an integral part of this story and needed to be described in detail to ensure that the reader could relate to Lexi and the reasons for her actions. Next, some have said that the hacker and cyber worlds were not portrayed accurately or realistically, and that there would never be a social media site that would contain personal data on military families. One of the things I LOVE about Cristin is her imagination and her attention to detail. From what I have seen in the other Titan stories, she does her research and can break down a technical topic into terms that a non-techie can understand. Also, as someone that has some insight into the government world, I can say that some of the scenarios from Titan stories that some may think are unrealistic, are closer to truth than fiction! Cristin is absolutely a genius story teller and I would love to know some of her sources, but she will never tell! Some reviewers were disappointed that Parker’s story did not have the same level of action and guns as the others. I actually enjoyed the change of pace, and the idea that intelligence can be the most powerful weapon is very cool and very sexy. And make no mistake, Parker is certainly capable of coming out with guns blazing when necessary! As always, I love reading about my #1 book boyfriend, Jared, also known as the boss man of Titan, so it was nice to get my fix of him in this story and I loved catching up on some of the women of Titan. The part where even the pregnant wives helped out during a stakeout was priceless! I also enjoyed the unlikely friendship that arose between Lexi and Sugar. As is typical for Titan couples, the dynamic between Lexi and Parker was hot and explosive, and these two are definitely soul mates destined to be together. Finally, we were introduced to a few new Titans, so it looks like there will be more to come from this series. Hooray!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love this series!
*by I***N on July 23, 2015*

I loved all the books in this series! So sad this was the last one. Sexy romance, mystery, lots of action, evil villains, and a hot sexy gov/merc group of alpha males dedicated to the women they fall for. None have any cheating, but they guys aren't saints before they meet their women. (Not too bad though) reminded me vaguely of Lora Leigh's Nauti Boys or Elle Kennedy's awesome Killer Instinct series. There are 8 books, one or two might have a trigger that could be disturbing to some. Without spoilers I can't really say, but if you want to ask me, feel free and I'll do my best to tell you what and which ones.
