One thing of course, is that the actual chocolate volume you get per dollar is low; the design compensates somewhat for this, but sometimes you don't just want a chocolate taste, you want to immerse your mouth in chocolate, and these things are individually too tiny to do so. I haven't had the opportunity to see how well they hold to temperature fluctuations (the box says 85 degrees) but I would assume they are the same as other chocolates. The higher price per volume also means you can't scarf this down as easily, which I could see as a downside to someone who uses these as a sort of blood sugar regulator of sorts.
