Mind you, it would obviously depend on the size of the place it's in and also on how high you have it set. I personally happen to live in a one bedroom flat and used it over last winter, placed in my sitting room. I had it on throughout the day and turned it off before going to bed, because as soon as I get into bed and pull the duvet over me, within seconds I'm feeling as warm as toast lol, even in the coldest part of winter. Then when I woke up and got out of bed in the morning, as soon as I went into the sitting room I put it back on again and it didn't take long at all the get the room feeling lovely and comfortable.
