What is the standby time?** A: Yes it does switch off after a short while of not being used not sure of stand by time but should be quite good its quite a heavy solid speaker. I also have the tronsmart s2 headset and they have a decent battery life **Q: Can this speaker be used with a pc via usb connection?** A: I don't think it will work with a USB cable because the sound output from the laptop comes from the headphone socket and/or HDMI port, not a usb port. You will be able to connect this speaker with a jack plug cable. Plug the jack cable into the aux on the speaker, then connect the other end of the jack plug cable to your laptop's headphone socket. **Q: How loud is this and how good is the bass? Do you think this would be loud enough to use for a small classroom?** A: It is quite loud with strong bass and would definitely be good enough for a small classroom. **Q: Does anyone know the range of the connection?** A: The information states 100ft. I have often left the speaker on the window sill of my bedroom upstairs and been outside with my phone and it still works.. I only have a small 2 bed house but I have no issues with the connection wherever I am. I already own and use its big brother (the 40w speaker in my shed) so bought on the strength of this.The unit is compact (it would almost fit into a beer can) but heavy - it needs to be given the sound it delivers.The sound quality is great for rich mid- range music (rock, jazz), given its size it may not be so brilliant for genres that favour heavy bass.Also, vocals can sound a touch boxy. But guitar solos and rich compositions sound fantastic.It supports the useful Alexa and Hey Google, and the useless Siri and comes with an audio lead which means that you can use it to boost your PC or TV sound.Pairing was seamless with my iPhone and PC.I haven’t yet been able to test the waterproofness or battery life, but given the current weather in the UK I may update this review soon!I often compare these units to their Sonos equivalents - I have never used a Sonos Move, butI Ian many Sonos Ones and I reckon two of these (you can set them up in stereo) at under a tenth of the price would give it a real run for its money.If you’re going on holiday, in the kitchen, shed or bathroom and want your beats, this must be the best value product you can possibly buy.I’m going to buy a second one and use it to replace the PC sound system in my office, taking one on hold to annoy the people in the adjacent room! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Indestructible? *by J***H on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 November 2023* The media could not be loaded.  Had this for 2 years and 7 months at the time of writing this review. It's been to hell and back. It lives on the side of my bag and is used at least once a week for a good few hours at a time.Surprisingly loud and pretty impressive clarity for its size. Good bass. Mostly listen to punk and metal, a bit of D&B.. no complaints at all.I actually lost mine for just over 2 months, found it hanging from a tree branch - still works perfectly. Was still charged when I found it!Much, much better than some £65+ speakers I tried before this (always been one to buy well known brands until trying this one). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great speaker but... *by H***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 January 2021* Great speaker but would I pay £36 for it? No.I paid £25.50 for it during Christmas and during the Christmas period used it at home.During this period the speaker was perfect. Delivered great sound and bass for it's size and the battery life is amazing.Once back to work I was able to compare it to the waterproof tronsmart groove 10w speaker which is smaller than this. I paid £26 for that 4 or 5 months ago and it is loud enough to use in a noisy workshop with grinders and machines etc so that's a good benchmark for this speaker.The much smaller groove trumped this in volume and clarity in the workshop.
