Red Kap Men's Slash Pocket Jacket

So I ordered this jacket twice. First time I received a jacket that had one of the cuffs on the sleeve sown on crooked so I returned it (defective). The second time I received a really nice jacket and it was properly made. It was a hair big, but after a wash and a short period in the dryer it fit great. I’ve currently had it a couple months now and I wear it all the time to work in. Pretty warm for such a lighter weight jacket ( I’ve wore it in 20-25 degree weather and it kept me fairly warm, but the wind wasn’t bad), and a nice alternative to my Carhartt jackets. These Eisenhower style jackets are my favorite. Super easy on and off. Quality made! Luke

1. Lining was a bit heaver than expected which is actually good for me. 2. I sized using the "if waist is larger than shoulders, use waist size." Perfect fit. 3. Sleeves a bit long but I expected that with the larger size needed. 4. Like other reviewers I would love to have this jacket offered with a large, zipper closure, inside pocket. Maybe Red Kap will add one in the future. It would be well worth paying a few dollars more for that feature.

Okay this is a very nice quality jacket. And plenty warm. I got the grey and it looks great. Over-all good sizing too. I am 6-0 and a bulky 285 with lots of muscle and the 2XL fits very well. I can wear it over just a t-shirt or fit a hoody under it also when it's really cold. Sizing good EXCEPT THE SLEEVES. And I don't have skinny arms. 18" biceps and 14" forearms but the sleeves are just too big around-- especially from the elbows down. Took it to a tailor to taper the sleeves from the elbow down and shorten them an inch or so. [Turns out that'll cost me $35.] That said, it's worth it b/c it's a great looking jacket with serious warmth. Also, I don't have any of the hanging threads that other reviewers are talking about. Hey Red Kap-- tighten up the sleeves a bit, add a loop inside for hanging on a hook when not in use, and you will have produced the perfect jacket!!

Exactly what I was looking for... a duplicate of my old "DERBY" gas station jacket attendant's that I had throughout the 1970's. I outgrew that jacket way back when, and only The Lord knows whatever happened to it. As I recall that jacket was also a "Red Kap" brand. The new jacket is "Made In Mexico", and it looks to be " Very Well Made". Time will tell... the jacket is at the Embroiderer's right now, having my Union's Logo embroidered on the back. In reading some of this jacket's reviews, I CONSIDERED ORDERING THE 'long or TALL' size, as I have a long torso and fairly short legs (I wear a 30" inseam in my jeans), but i went ahead and ordered the regular fit, and the sleeves were just right (wear a 33-34" sleeve length in my long-sleeve shirts.

I was issued this exact jacket in blue 24 years ago. It is still made the same, light enough to move around, yet heavy enough to keep the temps at bay to about 40...if your working. This is a working jacket, and it holds up!

I grew up in my grandfathers garage and we always had these jackets as kids and growing up. I have one now that's about 12yrs old and it's still comfy and warm. I've been wearing it around and people think it's "hipster" because it's got some grease and stains on it plus it has my name tag on it LOL. They're cheap, durable, and long lasting. I ordered this one for my friend who fell in love with my old one when I pulled it out for the first time in years and wore it.

Got a XXL ... Sleeves are very wide down by the cuff. Should be a little more tapered in. Nice looking jacket and well made ... Not loving the "utility pocket" on the left upper sleeve.

Great jacket! It always last me years I have bought a few, and never let me down. I am on the very large side so great choice for sizes, good quality,and variety of colors great
