I bought two to carry to craft shows. As a vendor, we were using the chairs that remind me of a sling and collapse to slip into a tube - not very comfortable to get up and down from all day. These director chairs sit higher and are very sturdy. Plus the bar across the bottom from one leg to the other prevents them from sinking into soft soil. They are heavy to carry, but the comfort more than makes up for this. They have lasted two seasons now and are still in great shape.
