Serene Valley 3-1/2 inch Kitchen Sink Strainer Assembly with Stopper for Matching Color of Granite or Fireclay Sinks (Black)

I'm impressed! After pricing other black sink strainers I was suffering from sticker shock. I was sceptical about this one due to the much cheaper price. After reading the reviews I decided to take a chance (even though I was still sceptical). I couldn't be more pleased. They installed easily and had no leaks. They look great in our new composite sink. The stoppers are simple, easy to place, and seal positively. Not being made of steel, I question how long they will last. But for now I'm very satisfied with the way they installed, how they look, and how they work.

These are plastic vs the typical metal assembly. I kept reading about the black coloring flaking off the metal strainers. These were very inexpensive (great value). The plastic is solid black, not coated, so flaking won't be a problem. We've only had these for about 1 month. It's only a sink strainer, but I'm quite pleased with the purchase. They work well, are great value, and seem appropriately rugged. Happy Customer.

This product was so easy to install and looks wonderful with the black matte faucet that I purchased separately. I love that the instructions were so clear with pictures and easy to understand. It fit perfectly on my grandfather's Barn sink that I reglazed and installed in my laundry room.

It's all plastic, I worried it would break as I was installing it but it didn't. It has a top and bottom seal and it closed up snugly with no leaks and works great. My only complaint is the color is a bit too shiny - it doesn't really match my granite sink as much as the flat-black one it replaced.

We bought this for a black Corstone laundry sink. We're installing a black faucet tomorrow, but I wanted to review this strainer now. It looks just like the picture on the product page - a deep matte black with a bit of shine. Perfect. I was concerned because some reviews said there was a white foam gasket that showed if not perfectly centered, but they must have changed that because ours was a dark grey (and still didn't show when properly centered). Even though we just installed it, I saw no reason when examining it to think it won't be durable and easy to clean. Our only installation issue was that they say to use a screw driver to tighten it, but the grooves are wider than any screwdriver we own. We ended up using a round pocket screwdriver because the curved edges fit in the grooves.

I mounted this in a black sink and it looks great. its has more of a satin finish than a glossy finish. its made of black harden plastic so it wont chip. I did use plumbers putty to mount instead of the foam washer that came with it. So far very pleased.

Exactly as advertised. Excellent fit.

Did the job, fixture is hard to touch and fitted well.

Excellent plug, black colour through the holes too. Fitted it instead of the one supplied which was stainless steel, we're doing black and copper. Good quality.
