Review: Great deal, but... - For the price, it is a great deal, but as mentioned in other reviews, the installation manual is severely lacking in correct and pertinent information and pictures. Thankfully this was not my first encounter with lift installation/service. Overall though, the lift works as described with no major complaints about it's operation or use. I would recommend and will likely purchase another 2-post lift soon.
Review: Crappy instructions, but it performs as advertised once assembled. - I finished the installation of this hoist yesterday and I'm thrilled to have finally gotten one for my shop. I've been a mechanic for all of my adult life (I'm 70) and have wanted one of these all of that time. Bottom line; for the money, this is a good product regardless of its origin. Would I have preferred a U.S. made lift? Of course. But I simply can not afford or justify spending at least twice as much or more on one for my small home shop. Installing this lift had its challenges and if you are not mechanically inclined or have experience with electric and hydraulic equipment, get someone that is to at least help you. Most negative comments/reviews on this product (and probably any foreign made equivalent) are on the "instructions" provided with this product. I can agree, they are poor at best for something this complicated to install. There is a lot of missing information, period, which is why you need to have mechanical, electrical and hydraulic experience to assemble this. Even the company video on YouTube is poor with the same missing information. There is one YT video I can recommend from Redline (who sells and installs floor hoists) that was VERY helpful in answering most of the questions I had on how to install this lift. Watch it. First thing; be SURE your concrete floor will support this lift. The description on desertcart recommends between 4-6" depending on how much you plan to lift. Those are MINIMUM requirements! In reality with something like this you are betting your life on, more and reinforced is better. I planned on a lift when I built my shop and had "piers" dug where this went that were probably at least 12" deep. The actual instructions cite 15" of concrete which is over kill for sure for a 10,000# lift but is probably to avoid law suits down the line. Second; the electrical specs cited on the desertcart description are 220V 30A single phase service for the 3HP motor on the lift. The provided instructions are unclear on this point, so if you aren't an experienced electrician, either hire one, or at least get the advice of one. Also, there is a safety switch provided that prevents the vehicle on the lift from going too high. No where in the instructions does it show you how to wire it. Be sure and call the customer service number and ask for that right off the bat, because this must be a frequent complaint as I had a color picture of how to wire it in a matter of minutes from calling customer service. Quality; while there were some aggravating quality issues like holes that weren't quite drilled properly and lousy instructions, this is a very solid and well built product. I have no concerns it is more than strong and safe enough to do what it is meant to do. The welding is good, the material is very sturdy and the paint is well done. The test is how long the pump and motor will last. But it lifted my 4,500# minivan with ease and all systems worked as advertised. Unless you have a forklift that can lift 1,300 pounds (or an equivalent machine) you'll need to have this delivered to a freight terminal that can load it on your trailer or truck, which is what I did and it went very smoothly. The company that sells them handles all that for you if you request it. But you'll still need something capable of lifting the components off your trailer after you have the package disassembled enough to separate the two main big parts. This thing is HEAVY! Everything with it is heavy. You WILL need at least two strong people to lift these columns off the floor and steady/position them in the shop. Again, watch that Redline video. He has lots of good suggestions on that. Customer service; so far, the contact I have had with their customer service has been excellent. I ended up talking with the same lady every time, but she always handled my concerns quickly. Usually in a matter of minutes. If you call and no one answers, she will call you back probably within an hour whether you leave a message or not. I had the lift in my possession in about a week from the order. In closing, my opinion is this is a good tool for a home shop. It's a 4 star rating for the issues I stated above. If I was a commercial shop that would be using this tool every day I doubt I would have bought it. But for my use when the heaviest thing I lift will be my 5,200# pickup, I am very happy with this purchase. So far. Ultimately, time will tell.

A: I didn’t see any specs on that but I torqued mine at 100 foot pounds with red lock tight

A: With trucks you will need to fold your mirrors in

We use ours for lift kits on bigger trucks including dually trucks

**Q: does it have hydraulic lifter on both side?**
A: Yes, there are two hydraulic cylinders, one in each vertical post.

For the price, it is a great deal, but as mentioned in other reviews, the installation manual is severely lacking in correct and pertinent information and pictures. I finished the installation of this hoist yesterday and I'm thrilled to have finally gotten one for my shop. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great lift for the money!

After ordering the lift I received a call from the seller confirming delivery address and the ability to off load the lift. It is a heavy package at about 1200 lbs. So it takes some equipment to unload. The lift is packaged very nicely and was delivered quickly, actually on the first day of the estimated delivery window. Construction and installation of the lift was very straightforward, although there were a couple of bolt holes that didn't line up completely this was fixed quickly with a drill with a rotary file bit. These were on the upper post section. Everything else went together great and the lift functions properly. Just remember to draw you alignment lines on the floor prior to standing your lift posts, take your measurements and make sure your posts are plumb. This lift seems to be as substantial as any of my bendpak lifts.
