Car takes longer to start but other than that it’s great
I have fitted it to an 80 series LandCruiser. One negative is that I’ve noticed that it takes longer to start now. With the key it was a quick turn and it started whereas now it takes a few seconds. The PKE is annoying as it appears indecisive. So when relatively close to the car it constantly opens and closes. I’d quite happily disarm this function if I knew how. Other than that I think it’s a brilliant system and very happy with it

Works great as long as you can diagnose any issues
Installed in a 1994 Toyota Camry. I used the wiring diagram off bulldog security and installed everything accordingly, but I ran into an issue. Everything worked great, but when I tried to start the car, it just cranked with no start. The car doesn't have an immobilizer so I was very confused. After 3 days of troubleshooting and testing I finally found the solution. In this car, the ECU is powered off the ignition 1 wire, when the device was trying to start the car, it cut power to ignition 1. So what I did is ran the included relay from 12v constant to ignition 1, and routed the signal wire to the starter wire of the device. In result, the ignition 1 and ECU are powered while the device is trying to crank the car, and the device can power it by itself after the car is started. Thought I might mention that incase anybody else runs into this issue. Other than that, the lock and unlock functions on the remote work great, really nice to finally have a remote for this car. It was a dealer option in 1994 and mine didn't have it, so I had to manually lock and unlock the doors. The passive entry and lock works even better, and provides complete ease of mind now. The remote start function also works great and will be great in the winter. Overall an amazing product that can modernize any old car.
