I'm 5'6 130lbs, waist 30 slim build.I suggest going 2 sizes up. by the chart i'm a sm...i could wear them...but for giggles i tried a medium much better......I really wanted to be able to wear them by themselves without looking weird so i tried a large......fits good best so far. To keep the 'nads' warm and take the chill out when you first jump in off the boat. They too fit a little small, but I believe that is what you want. The material is strong and stretchy. Of course I wear my board shorts over top of these, therefore the color and look was not important to me. I am NOT the tighty-whitey type. And I am not the tight-biker type. I'm just NOT cool with wearing something like these straight up without any shorts over them. Anyway, they work well and do the job for me. They are just thick enough to keep me warm mid-body level....not too thick like a wetsuit to where you can barely move. I'm also wearingΒ  Hyperflex Wetsuits Men's 1.5-mm Amp-3 Short Sleeve Top Β which is also great. The current ocean water temperature where I'm at is 67*, a little on the cooler side.I ordered the large which seem to fit my 35" waist just like a Jammer would. Their website list large as 35-37 which for my 35" waist plus small little belly is a perfect fit, if I was any bigger I would probably go up a size.I like these so much that I'm going to order a backup pair. I also think I'll be wearing these in July and August even when the water is a little warmer. I must admit I have no experience with these kinds of products but at the end of the day I'm very happy with my purchase.
