Since I replaced, Bridge, nut, pots, pickups, shielded the cavity all at the same time. . . . this might not be completely fair. But. .my bass sounds SOOOOO much more alive now. I guess the analogy I would give is that factory sounds like a person talking to you with their head tucked inside their winter coat. With the Lindy's . . . it like a face to face conversation with no background noise. I am running Ernie Ball Nickel round-wound and they are bright(for my taste.) Yes, I would recommend these to people wanting precise, clean sound. Review: My third set of Fralins - I installed these on my MIJ Geddy Lee Jazz Bass. The original PUPs were good, these are simply better; clear, well-articulated, with booming lows and crispy highs. Well worth the money! I also had a set on my MIJ Precision bass; I got the WIlbur Bascomb tone I was looking for. And I just installed a set on my American Professional Jazz bass; the stock pups were wimpy.
