I cut down some carpet to fit on the top just to make the surface softer for them and to prevent the wood from being ruined and it works great! How did you remove without damaging pieces pls?** A: Mine had to be pulled out by a carpenter I took it to as one side came already broken . I was not impressed as I had to go to this extra expense but the castle is too big to send back .
