It is light weight and I live in Arizona but it would be considered a winter item for us. Can;t use it though because it is so noisy! Every time one of us moves it makes a scratchy? Or over starched loud noise that kept us both up. I tried washing it several times but no help. Sadly I had to remove it and put it in the guest room to look pretty but will have to be removed when someone stays. I really should have returned it but I never do. I wish I could describe the noise better maybe like those loud workout pants when they rub together?
