## Description

Review: Great purchase, amazing budget head unit. - I am updating my review to better reflect my experience with the head unit. I am going to just start with the installation process as this was my first time installing a radio. There are a few things needed to install into my 2010 Tahoe. First, I needed a double din installation dash kit. I first went with Scorche, but the kit did not fit well and was cheaply made, so I purchased a best kit GMM318. It also wasnt an exact fit, but fit well enough for me to modify it. I also needed to purchase a wiring harness. With my 2010 tahoe I needed one that could retain the blinker sound as Chevy bolts that into the stock unit. I purchased the Metra GM lan wiring kit. I also needed to purchase an antenna adapter to convert the Chevy antenna to an aftermarket antenna. This I purchased from autozone. So up front cost to install myself with that equipment was around. 50 dollars. Not bad, in my opinion as The cost would be the same for any radio replacment. The actual install was pretty simple. Take the paneling from around the radio off, unscrew the radio, install the harness, plug radio in, connect antenna adapter, route gps cable, and voila it worked!. Wiring was a breeze as everything on the metra kit matched the color code of the binize unit. One thing I did notice was that the buttons would not light up when the unit was wired correctly. So I wired the illumination wire into the 12 volt accessory wire. This did not light up the face right away. Under factory settings (code is 8888) there is an option for "key light" that changes color. That immediately made the lights of the unit turn on. Overall install time was about an hour, 30 minutes of that was soldering the harness together. Now for the unit itself, it works perfectly. Has the 2gb of ram as advertised and is snappy for a budget unit. I purchased the B7918 unit that has the knob, sd slot, and usb slot on the face as well as home and back buttons. However, I suspect that the hardware is the same across the versions listed. For the software install it had a few apps, but minimal bloatware. One of the apps included is the Tima app that allows mirroring of the android phone. Setting up a bluetooth connection and wifi tether was a breeze. I also connected a bluetooth obdII sensor to use the torque pro app which I purchased separately and downloaded to the unit. My samsung note 9 connected quickly and connected every time I sat into the car. Listening to desertcart music and asking alexa to change songs is pretty awesome. Browsing the internet is simple as Chrome came standard with the unit. If you want a different browser you can download one from the chrome store. The UI is actually pretty nifty, however kinda cluttered for a head unit. There is a big win here though as you can download several launchers on the play store to suit your personal preference. The included launcher has a GPS speed reading that is in KPH. I contacted Binize on facebook and thier customer service swiftly responded with a file link and directions on how to change to MPH. Customer service also responded when I had questions about wiring the unit. They were extremely kind and helpful. Sound quality is not effected. I would say that this was an improvement over my stock stereo, but not immediately so. The head unti allows customization of sound setting my stock unit did not have and I tuned it to my preferance and I have to say I am impressed. I am not an audiophile, but this suits my needs. The fm tuner of the radio has more static than the stock unit, but it may be because of my Tahoes antenna. The radio app also auto searches for stations and saves them. Very helpful for traveling as you can press a button and have stations in under a few seconds. In car calling quality is lacking. The built in mic does not do a very good job of noise cancellation and calls sound horrible to the person calling you. However, a simple fix is to purchase a 3.5mm in car mic and route it to your sun visor. This improved my call quality signifigantly. Overall this was a great purchase for my vehicle. Especially since I was a little on the fence about a large purchase for an android head unit with some units approaching $500 or more. I didn't know if I would like having this type of unit over just a pure radio unit, but the ability to use Waze, desertcart music, youtube, and VLC media player is just awesome. Especially since I wait an hour everyday in front of my children's school to pick them up. Now I can get caught up on Netflix while waiting, haha. All this for $100 and I can't believe it. There are better units out there, but at this price point you can't go wrong. Especially with 24/7 customer service from Binize. Update! After having the unit for a few months I found out that the radio shipped to me, was not the radio I had ordered as the specs did not match up. So I contacted Binize via facebook. They were so helpful and apologetic they sent me a new unit at no cost to me. They didn't even want the previous unit back and told me to keep it. I also spoke to the customer support about how crazy the covid 19 breakout was and they offered tips to stay safe. Really nice people, really great business. I highly recommend doing business with them as they stand behind thier product.
Review: Absolute Junk - This product is so buggy it's unusable. Installed and only made it a few months before getting so frustrated I'm replacing it. Bluetooth cuts in and out. USB connectivity for Android auto is intermittent. Volume resets every time you shift into reverse. Just a million little things that make it terrible

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent radio and excellent support!!!
*by D***1 on January 7, 2020*

I installed this unit in my 2003 Honda Pilot to replace the stock radio. I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality. To be honest, for the price point I didn't expect much. But this exceeded any expectations I had. The install was pretty straight forward, although as some mentioned it does take a little trimming of the dash kit to get it to fit well. The sound quality was better than my stock radio. I've used the navigation, bluetooth music and calling, etc and all have worked very well. I may look for an external microphone for the bluetooth calling as there is a bit of road noise with the built-in mic, but I've experienced this with other stereos with built-in microphones as well. I did have to reach out to support for a couple of questions and they usually got back to me within a couple of hours and have been very helpful. I would definitely recommend this stereo to anyone looking to upgrade form stock. You can't beat the features or the service at this price point. I'm probably going to buy another one for my wife's car, too! ***UPDATE*** I spoke to support about the built-in microphone sound quality and they offered to ship out a new replacement unit right away with no hassle. The support is excellent from Binize. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!
