If so, where and how much are refills for this product?** A: This test has several capsules for each test you want to run. My soil was really depleted. So I tested the first time to see what it needed, and then added those nutrients, and a week later tested again. I used the recommendations on the instructions to "fix" the soil, and it worked really well. The kit is easy to us. Read the FULL INSTRUCTIONS on the inside. The short version does not work. It will take a few hours or even days for some, because you have to put the soil in "purified" water, and let the soil settle to the bottom and the liquid become as clear as possible. I bought these on Amazon and if I remember right paid less than $10 for the complete kit. It was cheaper that way. I love these tests. Hope this was helpful. **Q: can you use it for several seasons.. or do the chemicals go bad once opened to the air?** A: The chemicals are in capsules. I used mine throughout the season last year on multiple foot plots around our property. Each variety of capsule is in its own sealable baggie also. You should be good as long as you keep them away from open moisture. **Q: how many capsules do you get and how easy are they to find?** A: There were 10 capsules for each test, easy to do, and fairly accurate I think. I'm a science teacher and have used this type of test before.
