I've contacted doff reality on many occasions and it has been explained to me that until the motor develops more than half an inch of free play there is nothing they will do for me, to put this in context before the Sim picks up any feedback from the motor the gears inside have to move the length of play before it moves the rig therefore in simulators such as driving and flight simulators you will feel no small movement from this motor and you also have to consider that when banking in a flight simulator the rig will fall into the play each time you banks. For me this is unacceptable and today I've emailed dof reality explaining to them that if they cannot sort out the issue with the motor I will be requesting a refund. The play in my motor is roughly 8 mm this is twice the play in the second motor motor number two. You can feel the difference between the two the different's in play makes the rig fall into and out of heavy banking movements in-flight simms and car Simms. I hope I am one of the unlucky ones and that the motion simulator has generally higher quality control but the thing is you truly know a company when things go wrong and what they are willing to do to help you put it right and as of now dof reality is bad. In total adding my wheel/pedals and HOTAS along with assembling the P3 was about 5 to 6 hours. The Simtools software was easy to install and use. If you are a PC gamer, or already have a non-motion race rig, you'll have no problem firing up the software and getting the DOF reality sim rig moving in no time. Shipping takes a bit I think in total I waited just about 3 weeks (Midwest U.S.). If you are in a non-motion rig now and you race/fly check out the games list and if your game is on it, and you've been thinking about moving up to a motion rig do it. It's worth it. Not quite as good as a real track car, but is as much fun, cheaper than keeping up a track car or owning a plane, and lets you get your racing/flying fix while enjoying a tasty beverage (and nothing but your ego can get hurt). Now only few games, such as PCARs, PCARs2, AC, F1, Forza Motorsport 7, Forza Horizon 4, 5 send motion data from consoles (UDP over network). We are working on solution for all other games such as Grand Turismo and without a need of PC. It should be available in 2 month. But now: In order for any Motion Platform to work, console game needs to send motion data to it (external application). If game is not sending movement data then the platforms cannot move. If your game can send motion data and PC with SRS then software is used as a proxy. We dont use fake signals from the Force FeedBack wheel to do pretend doing motions shaking like CanisMotion Vector GTL.
