Where are you thinking to put the double sided tape? at the very bottom of the binding? to make it more secure? I don't understand. I've bound hundreds of books with these binders and none ever slipped or were broken. Sorry that's the best i can do to help answer your question.. as i think of it could probably try double sided tape on one binding as an experiment. i've had no need to change the way the binding process works with this machine.
