To answer that no it is not. If you push the button in it stays in until you hit the off button. No need to use a standalone motor starter if using within the rated voltage and current. **Q: I pressed my on button and it stuck. i opened it and got it unstuck but now it will not lock. what can i do to make it work?** A: Ask for a new one.
