They work perfect! I conected together the red wires from the lights with the red wire from the trailer connector (note: red wire for reversing). Then, I connected together the black wire from the lights to the white wire from the trailer connector (note: white wire for ground). When I am reversing the lights turn on. Also, if I open the doors the lights will turn on too. I got 2 more under my truck facing the running boards. They are connected to the same wires. Once, I open any door, the lights will turn on. I love them. Exactly what I was looking for. **Q: Will this fit a 2007 ford explorer eddie bauer edition factory stock hitch? if not is there easy work around?** A: I don't know what kind of hitch the Explorer comes with. But my Chevrolet Colorado Hitch has a collar around the end facing the rear. I went to the front end of my receiver and there wasn't a collar there and the mounting bracket slid right on and I tightened it down and it works just fine. The mounting bracket is actually pretty nice. But as many others have stated, it will not fit without some fabrication. Even if it did, it's blocking the safety chain ports and trailer wire harness socket. SO I wound up chucking the bracket into my spare parts bin and just mounted the lights right to my existing bumper brackets and actually worked out great. VERY bright. And very good looking lights. I have them setup on switched power so I can turn them on at will.
