They are the parent company of Maxxis one of the biggest names in mtb and road tyres. These tyres will fit all 26 inch mtb wheels, they have a kind of V pattern tread if you look at them head on which means they steer better through mud, but you can reverse them to give you better grip and traction on the back. They probably aren't good enough to race on but that's not the point of these, they're a strong looking tyre which are good enough for every day use and the odd bit of off roading. You will not find a cheaper pair of tyres, time will tell how long they last.Update 05/02/13; I have had these on four months now, i do a journey of roughly a mile or just over a day to work there and back and a six mile round trip most sundays. I have had no trouble with these tyres and no punctures, they show little sign of wear, hope this helps.Update 06/10/14; These tyres have been on just over two years now, there is some wear to the back tyre but there is still at least a years life left in it doing a mile and a half a day on average. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Buy this pair of tyres and you'll not be dissapointed *by B***5 on 5 July 2014* Last time i bought a single tyre of the same quality as this was about four years ago from a retail bike shop which cost me £15 so going on inflation (excuse pun) that same tyre would now cost about £18 or more hence getting two of the same quality for only £12 at £6 each is an excellent price.When i saw the price of these tyres my hackles naturally went up thinking it's too good to be true with a catch of them being low quality seconds being sold off cheap but no they are good tyres which will last.The tread pattern is quite chunky which acts as a bit of suspension on the road and also makes the tyres less prone to punctures.I cannot accurately say how they would perform dirt trekking off road as i don't do that but with the feel of them i'd say fair tyres for doing that but doubt if they'd last as long as on the road !!!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bargain price!! *by A***R on 5 September 2013* At first I was a bit apprehensive about ordering these tyres as they are very cheap compared to others I had priced. I didn't want expensive tyres (I am not your keen cyclist more a cyclist for pleasure and to get places) but I didn't want cheap rubbish either. As well as this the tyres on my bike were 26 x 1.80 so I thought they would not do, but after some hesitation I ordered them and am glad I did. My trusty bike has had a new lease of life, I got two tyres for only a bit more than I would have paid for one elsewhere.
