I also wanted side tables with a drawer to utilize and a set of two that match is a bonus.To Start: All you need are scissors, Philips screwdriver and flathead screw driver, total time to put together is about 15-20 min.Packaging:The product comes well packaged and with two boxes strapped together. I would start by pulling everything out and checking the product to ensure that everything is accounted for in the box. My tables arrived with no damage and foam packing between the wood pieces to prevent scratches. Note: When removing the pieces take care with scissors to not damage the enclosed product. Also, when you pull the pieces out of the package, I would suggest placing them on a soft surface while you work so you do not scratch the wood.Instructions:The instructions are well detailed and show photos on how to place everything together. BE SURE to follow the instructions in order and pay attention to where the holes in the boards are placed so it is placed together properly.Building:While placing the product together use HAND HELD PRODUCTS do not use electric tools or you could over tighten or strip the parts. Everything is predrilled and it is simple to hand tighten.NOTE: WHEN YOU ARE PLACING THE DRAWER CAPS ON THE INSIDE OF THE DRAWER DO IT AFTER THE DRAWER IS IN THE TABLE OR YOU COULD DAMAGE THE PRODUCT.Quality:These have a nice dark brown almost black finish. They do not easily mark from liquids but I would still suggest utilizing coasters. I haven’t had an issue with scratching or bubbling which was an initial concern from other reviews, but I have had no problem and I have a toddler who spills everything!The drawer knob is a nice touch because it provides a modern look to the table, also the bottom shelf fits a normal square storage cube snugly.Overall, I am happy with the tables. They are simple to put together and offer a nice solution to matching side tables that don’t get ugly watermarks. I have had them set up for a while and I have seen no changes in how they look. I don’t place harsh chemicals on them so I only use water to wipe them down to protect them, I would suggest the same to preserve the quality.
