    It fixed my rear shock

*by B***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2022*

I had a malfunction with the rear DNM shock on my ebike and the air valve was broken. I contacted DNM to see if I could order the part from them and they were going to charge $10 for the part and $55 for the shipping because it was coming from Thailand. So after trying the local bike shops with no luck, I continued my search and found this one. I took a chance that it would have the right threads and was happy to see on the package when it arrived that it was made in Thailand, so there was hope. It ended up being the right size and the right threads so it screwed into the shock but the center hex size was larger and I had to modify it a little so it would thread in all the way to seal. I was able to put my shock back into operation until the bike manufacturer sent me the replacement shock from China.

    M7 x 0.75 Bottom Thread Schraider Valve

*by M***L on Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2021*

Restoring my 1994 vintage Specialized Rockhopper FS.I used 2 of these to replace the failed stock butyl valves (type of valve used for inflating a ball) on my front Futureshocks. Those valves had hardened and would not hold pressure. They are mounted in the top inner plug of the shock.I drilled out the hole for the butyl valve, tapped it with a M7 x .75 tap, a little teflon tape on the threads, recharged the shocks with fresh oil and 35psi of air pressure and now my ancient shocks are holding pressure and working again! Thankfully, the old O-rings in the shocks are still good.I chose this Schraider since it had the lowest height of any Schraider valve I could find which allowed me to still use the top cap of the shock to keep debris out of the upper part of the shock tube. It still protrudes above the top of the shock tube but only by 1/8" so the cap still fits snug, just not all the way down. These shocks were never that great, even when new, but I wanted to restore this bike (that I haven't ridden in 20+ years, because the shocks went flat) to bone stock condition. These valves have gotten me over the biggest hurdle!
