It is very roomy, and could hold my 17.3" laptop, two huge textbooks, a large power brick, a laptop stand, several large cables, two 1.5" 3-ring binders, several spiral notebooks, a computer mouse, a set of headphones, an e-reader and the usual pens/pencils/calculator/etc. that a college student needs. My only complaint is a lack of pockets for organizing my items.If the bag had a side pocket, replaced the current zippered front compartment with several large pockets for items like a computer mouse and an e-reader and added a smaller zippered compartment on the front for pens & pencils, this bag would have been virtually perfect for me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Overall a good backpack *by D***S on Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2012* As I said overall the backpack is pretty nice; however, the shoulder strap 'system' it has is quite over complicated and unnecessary. The straps themselves are shorter than I would have liked and take getting used to. The compartments are quite nice and leave plenty of room for laptops, textbooks, binders, etc. The laptop compartment is not padded and has a strange, thin metal strip going down the whole middle of the pack. There is a compartment for up to 3 pens/pencils and a place for a card signifying ownership.
