**Q: is the threads on the valve american pipe [NPT]?**
A: Yes. This replaced the diverter valve that the plumber put on when he installed the shower. It is smooth 12"NPT so it works with the washer type fitting that came on the end of the hose, which I am still using. This is far superior to the one the plumber got from his supplier.

**Q: Can this diverted spray from both outputs at one time to operate fixed and handheld simultaneously?**
A: Yes, there is a point in turning the lever where water is allowed through both outlets. HOWEVER, the volume of water reaching the shower heads is limited by the diameter of the shower head elbow. So, if you have regular water pressure like I do, you will experience low water pressure coming out of both outlets. You would need to have very high water pressure reaching your shower head for the double function to be truly satisfying.

**Q: Why is female inlet collar not attached to body and can't screw it in?**
A: The inlet body is not attached in order to allow the user to orient the control lever after attaching it to the outlet pipe from the wall. However, the supplied rubber washer is not sufficient to keep a good seal and prevent leaks, nor is the unit constructed in a way to keep the unit locked in one orientation.  This seems to be an issue for all units of this type, so if you don't prefer a diverter that has a continuous leak and rotates willy-nilly it is probably better to pick a different style of unit that has two points of contact (ex. ASIN: B07YKYFR18) or a multiple outlets controlled from an installed wall control (ex. ASIN: B01MCTPZML)

**Q: At times I use a single shower head but sometimes also need to run two shower heads, can this valve solve the problem**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy shower diverter  (needs different washer)

I used this diverter to add a hose to a hand-held sprayer to the shower head. It is easy to install.Unscrew current shower head, add a couple winds of teflon tape to the threads, screw on the fitting, and tighten it with a wrench or a pliers (padded with a rag to not scratch the fitting). Then you can take it off because the hard washers that come with it makes it leak like crazy.Go to the hardware store's plumbing section, buy a rubber gasket, redo the installation, and it will work just fine. The gasket I got was by Danco, Inc, it was a #31 Top Bibb Gasket, rubber, (Fits a Crane faucet) Stock #35315. It has an outer diameter of 13/16" (about 1/32" too big. I trimmed it with a scissors) and an inner hole diameter of 11/32".The valve works great to switch between the shower head and the hand-held sprayer with a hose. To complete the installation I bought the following:- Shower Head Hose Replacemend 59 Inches Long Made of Stainless Steel, Universal Handheld Shower Hose with Brass Fittings, Chrome Finish by Purelux- Solid Copper Handheld Shower Head Pressurized Water Saving Shower Shower Sprayer Nozzle Bathroom Hand Showerhead With Chrome Finished (Square)- Adjustable Shower Head Holder Bathroom Suction Cup Handheld Shower Head Holder Mounting Bracket Plastic ABS with Chrome Polished for Marble Glass Metal Ceramic (2, Silver Wrench)

Bought it and it last six months before the lever broke off. I bought two of them and the second one only last a few months. Not to mention its ability to loosen after everyday use. Would not recommend.
