Unless you think its 40 years ago and Derek and the Dominoes and Cream are the only things Eric is allowed to put his talents to, maybe.A true Eric Clapton fan will LOVE this CD. His voice is in fine form, the music is true MUSIC, played by talented musicians (led by EC himself, of course) and I think the song collection and mix of it is cool. The old songs are classics that I love and I love that he does too, apparently. The new songs are great. There's not one song on here I'd skip over.When I pop a CD into the Bose, this is what I want it to sound like. This is going to end up being one of my very favorite Clapton albums ever. Get it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Eric Clapton Old Sock *by I***F on Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2013* A mix of reggae, blues, ballads, bit of rock,country, nostalgic songs your grand parents listen to, couple of originals thrown in. Eric has gotten to the point now where he is making music that pleases himself and perhaps the fans who still enjoy listening to him, not making music for the sake of the record companies bugging him about where is the next "Layla", so they can cash in on the big sales. Listen to it a couple of times before you get too critical, you might like it. If anyone gets the chance, go see him on tour this year while you can as he has announced he will stop touring in 2015, when he turns 70.
