## Description

The Dragon pad USA 6" Microphone studio pop filter was designed with one question in mind, how do you create a high quality, yet economical, solution for anyone who wants to record clearer audio in less takes? This pop filter is the answer. But why do you need a pop filter you ask? Two words, “aspirated plosives”. when speaking, or singing, certain letters and sounds (such as “P” and “B”) can create a burst of air which can lead to clipping in your recordings. The dual nylon layers in this filter work by trapping and dispersing the air caused by these letters, preventing the bursts from reaching your microphone. Additional benefits include reducing errant breath noise and removing “lisping” from some “S” sounds. The screen also protects your microphone from saliva and moisture. This magical screen is connected to a super flexible, but strong, 13” metal gooseneck. The articulated arm allows you to curve up, over, and around your stand to put the pop filter exactly where you want it. The metal c-clamp with thumbscrew fastener attaches the pop filter to most microphones and stands, while the SOFT padding protects the finish of whatever you put it on. Perfect for casual and professional recording This pop filter works great for recording, and live streaming, on YouTube and twitch as well as recording pod-casts and voice over work. Available in an assortment of colors/combinations to allow you the freedom to customize your studio exactly the way you like! Package will contain one (1) white on black pop-filter.

Review: Finally, a gooseneck that works! - Why is it the cheapest pop filter I've ever bought has the only gooseneck that holds its position? And it matches my white mic stand too! I'm doing a podcast with some people who aren't too experienced, and can not hold their head at an off axis to reduce sibilance, pops, and plosives. This has been a real lifesaver. It's big enough for every mic in my locker. Sound wise, I think I have a $150 one that is 10% better? It isn't going to stop you from running a couple plug ins in post, but it also isn't taking away from your mics sensitivity. The sound passing through it is natural, and not muddy. It's not bringing the level down any decibels. Physically speaking, the clamp that attaches it to your stand is metal, and I think that's why it stays put. The gooseneck is also metal, and you will need to make three bends to get it where you want, but then it doesn't drift off. The hoop holding the screens is plastic - it's light weight also helps it stay in place. I'm buying more, while they are at this price.
Review: Great product - Works great. This isn’t the normal cheap pop filter that we’ve all seen before with the really thin screen and after a week won’t state erect This is like a teenager that took one of those purple things. You know what I’m talkin about. This is thing stays hard and in place

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is anyone using this with the Blue Snowball microphone? Does this mount well onto it? Any issues?**
A: the mount is definitely designed to mount to a mic stand or other cylindrical item like a mic stand, but i actually clamp mine to my desk, if you don't have something round to clamp it to though it may be difficult. I managed to finangle it onto my blue yeti's stand though.

**Q: Should I get on of these if my microphone has a built in pop filter?**
A: The popular Shure mics--SM57, SM58 and SM48--now advertise a "built-in pop filter." It's propably effective for live performance, but you may find that for radio announcing or recording, you're still getting unwanted sibilant and plosive sounds. In that case, the pop filters like the pictured one are the answer. On the other hand, the recording mics are usually condenser mics with phantom power, not dynamic mics like the Shure. So the value of this filter to you may also depend on the type of mic you're using.

**Q: Is this as big as they say it is? If you where to measure it, how big is the diameter?**
A: Almost 6 inches, it doesn't feel huge IMO.

**Q: How does it go on?**
A: There's a screw at the end that acts like a vice and holds itself in place on the mic stand . it's nice although on snowball stand its alittle lose cuz the screw probably isn't long enough to clamp down on it. But its fine as long as you don't move to much.My suggestion though is modify it with a longer screw or put like a piece of cardboard or something so you can get a possible tight fit. Last you want is a rogue swinging pop filter. Also be very cautious on how you bend it. Too much flexing can make it real lose. I struggle with keeping the filter off the mic.Either way for a streamer or just recording on a budget it does rather Swell. But if you don't want deal with the above problems buy your self one that's abit pricey.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Genuinely surprised
*by C***P on January 11, 2026*

6$ for this? I'm shocked. It's heavy build quality. Metal bendy arm and its plenty long enough. metal clamp. I can see the clamp being an odd shape for some booms or arms. I'm not an audiophile by any means mainly just using it for discord on my Samson Q9U. Looks cool and works for what I need it for. Might not compare to name brand as far as plosive protection but it does the job. If your in the market for a 6$ pop filter this will go way above and beyond anything else you can find for the price and durability. This will do the trick 100%. 10/5 stars.
