No chipping, tarnishing or fading so far. I recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Where have these been all my life? *by A***Y on September 30, 2019* I bought these after 25 years of loose roots and I’m flabbergasted. Actually, I thought they worked differently and had to look for instructions (they didn’t come with the package). Once I figured out that I was supposed to pull the end of the dread through the root using the tool, I was able to tighten the dreads. Mine are past my waist and some are too thick for the tool and get tangled going through, but so far this is a darn sight better than anything I’ve tried before. The dreads next to my ears are finally tight without all that fizz sticking out awkwardly.
