Best product for curly hair . We have been using for over 20 years to detangle hair so it will grown and keep moisture. We do not wash it out but use a dime size to run in hair . Our climate is dry so it works well.

I've been looking for a gentle, yet moisturizing shampoo for my natural mostly 4a (4b (in the crown) hair. I was browsing at Marshall's and came across Traite Cream Shampoo...for $5.99/16oz! I liked the consistency and the ingredient list, for the most part, so I decided to purchase it. I JUST washed my hair with it for the first time on Sunday and I LOVE it! My hair was soft, and tangle-free (MOST important for retaining length)! I'm going to go back to Marshall's to see if it's there but if it's not I will DEFINITELY come on here and purchase it.***UPDATE***I've been using this shampoo since I first posted my above review, and it STILL gets my vote. I wash once a week and I love the fact that I can run my fingers through my coils DURING AND AFTER shampoo! That has NEVER happened before. I have not had any allergic reactions or dry scalp. My hair feels clean but not stripped. It's almost time for me to get some more and I will be purchasing it on Amazon... I have yet to see it at Marshall's or TJMaxx again :(.***Another update-4/17/11*** I still didn't see it at Marshall's or TJMAXX, but I did purchase this big bottle on Amazon. I used standard shipping and the package arrives in 3 days.I still LOVE this shampoo.****Another Update- 7/10/2015*** I've tried a couple other Shamps and I still LOVE this Shampoo.

BEST SHAMPOO EVER! This is the best stuff I have ever used on my colored (highlighted) hair. So rich & creamy, but doesn't weigh my hair down. Used with the same brand's conditioner & you've got a match made in heaven. I have fine hair, but a lot of it. When I started to use this shampoo, my hair had been through the mill and quite damaged. This has brought it back to life. I will continue to use this for as long as it is available. Very high quality and safe for colored hair - no sulfates. Highly recommend, you only need 2 pumps to do your entire head, so this size bottle is a great value.

I too have used this product for almost 20 years. I tried other saloon products but nothing has touched Mastey. When I was younger, I had very oily skin. Most conditioners left so much residue on your hair that it would have oil streaks. Mastey's Frehair does not cause any of the oily problem, yet makes hair soft, silky and easy to brush/comb.I have recommend Mastey's products to several people. Those who bought it still use it.The company makes a other products for other types of hair conditions. I buy the Smooth conditioner for one daughter whose hair tangles more and is more prone to damage.Addition 9-20-2015 Traite has changed their masking fragrance which used to be a faint coconut smell that did not linger. I have allergic reactions to fragrances. Traite has changed to natural oil for their masking fragrance. It is sweet smell that lingers in your hair and on your hands. The company confirmed this way the shampoo smells different and has different texture. I can get fragrance free from them, but I have to wait a month. When they make a new batch they get me a bottle of shampoo without the oil they use for masking fragrance. If fragrances are not an issue then it will make not difference. If it is a problem, go to mastey.com and contact the company. They do promptly response to emails.UPDATE: the company has taken down their website. I usually order from them. So not to get phony product. OR too old a product. I have ordered from beauty vendors. Sometimes I would get shampoo that was watery, If you look at it you can see partials , this is emulsion separating. It was old. Anything you by now will old.

I have been using this shampoo for over 2 decades and since a new family member took over the company about 2 years ago the quality has gone down. It is thinner and doesn't stay mixed well, but still gives a good lather and has all the good stuff in it and none of the bad. That's why a didn't give it lower than a 4 rating-there is nothing on the market like it that I know of. Wish the company would honor their clients instead of insulting them with inferior product.

This shampoo was recommended to me by my sister, who needs sulfate-free products. I've been amazed at how thick and creamy the shampoo becomes as it turns to foam cleaning my hair! It feels luxurious! The scent is soft and sweet, and my hair is squeeky clean yet still manageable after shampooing. As a woman with long hair who has always needed to use dandruff shampoo, I am amazed that Mastey Traite has solved that problem for me as well! Thanks!

I've been using Mastey Shampoo and conditioner for years (my original review is below) and lately it seems like the product has no quality check performed on it. Every other time I purchase the Shampoo it's like I'm not getting the same product. Last shampoo bottle was great, but the one I most recently received was awful. The shampoo has been leaving my hair feeling gummy. There's no other way to explain except that it's like I've put chewing gum in my hair; It's leaving a residue behind that feels rubbery and gross. Its almost impossible to brush, so I started using my husband's shampoo until I get something different. It's upsetting that I had found a product that made my hair look and feel amazing and now it's not doing that anymore. I've decided to find something else because it's too much of a hassle when every other bottle is a bad product.First Review:Ever since I started buying Mastey Traite Sulphate-Free Shampoo I have refused to try any other shampoo. I have tried many shampoos, even the professional, expensive ones that claim to be "sulphate-free" even though they have milder forms of sulphates in them. I started searching for a better product because a couple of years ago my hair started becoming really dull and brittle. I also developed a really dry and itchy scalp and dandruff. I tried many different shampoos that claimed to be sulphate free, but my itchy, dry scalp wouldn't change. My hair looked terribly unhealthy. When I started using Mastey my hair quickly changed and my scalp stopped itching and was no longer dry. Now, my hair always looks healthy and every hair dresser I've gone to since I've switched to Mastey has commented on my hair. They don't even recommend a "deep conditioner" when I go in because they tell me my hair looks great AND I even blow dry it every day. This product really has been a life saver. It may seem expensive, but it lasts a really, really long time. Also, it doesn't really foam, which some people don't like, but you don't need to use that much; with just a small amount your hair will look and feel clean. If it helps, my hair is extremely fine.

Turns out I’m allergic to SLS. This is an SLS free shampoo and after years of rash and dandruff on my head, I’m free and clear. This is a great shampoo. My Dad used it decades ago and it did the same for him. Something jogged my memory so I looked for it on Amazon. I was pleasantly surprised to learn it was still available, made by the family of the original owner.

This product is NOT the original Mastey Traite Cream Shampoo, its is curdled with suds, it is not the original shampoo and it is NOT the cream shampoo, the scent is not the same either. I have used this product for over 20 years and I have two bottles previously purchased in store, the real Mastey Traite Cream Shampoo, its thick, creamy smooth with a pleasant scent. I do not recommend purchasing this product from Urban Inspirations.
