The pull tab at the end makes it much easier to use. This is my first menstrual cup and I can say I'm definitely never going back to tampons. I never worry about toxic shock, and the odor is so minimal now. Sleeping with this is a dream, usually on my heavy days when I wake up from using pads or tampons it looks like a murder scene in my pajamas, but this cup kept me dry and comfortable all night.
