USA Made. *by F***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2022* Proud to support the American Worker. I replaced my condenser fan motor and capacitor four years ago on my 17 year old Trane. The old cap was still in specs but for very little money for a USA made capacitor it was a no brainer. I've used Genteq's in the past with no problems but their made in Mexico. I do like that Amrad warranties them for their licensed contractors customers for 5 years, that says a lot about their parts and quality control. I know it doesn't apply to me as a DIY but I'm ok with that. Two years ago Morris Jenkins replaced my neighbors HVAC system for $13,000. The first day it hit 96 degrees this summer their AC wouldn't work. They had no AC for hours by the time the tech came out to figure out the problem under warranty. It was the dual run capacitor and even he said they used cheap capacitors. I'd be ticked to find out I spent that much to have a cheap capacitor used and only last two summer seasons. Leaving my family in the heat on the first hot day of the next summer, ridiculous. For DIY out there take care in replacing these. It's easy but can be dangerous make sure to watch videos on how to. Get a multimeter and pull the disconnect or shut the power off anytime you go to replaced one of these. Always re check for power at the contactor terminals plus remember to discharge the old capacitor. Next I will order a 10mf Amrad cap to replace my blower motor cap inside the house. It about four years old too but still in spec.
