It is very soft and has a nice touch of teddies on it too. As it is soft there is no noise when laid on the mattress. The large skirts on this product also make it easier to put on. Had a couple of accidents on it and absolutely nothing went through to the mattress and when machine washed, looks like new!The only downside to this mattress is that it is fairly difficult to dry after a wash unless you can line dry.
