You can look at the top and go down as you need more magnification. Instead of having only one magnification. Works great

I need the range of adjustment provided by these glasses and they don't have the (for me) vertigo inducing sight shifts from side to side that I encountered in the one pair of prescription progressives I had bought. I have used these "drug store readers" by foster grant for several years that I purchased in pharmacies under different part numbers but with the same appearance. I wanted to check these out for any difference. In a quick try-on, I found none. I break a couple pairs per year ( frames snap near the hinge) but I wear them on strings around my neck all day and the breaks happen WHEN I DON"T HAVE THEM ON MY FACE. .....usually by catching them on something. Several pairs (2 or 3) per year is still less expensive than prescription glasses.

I got these progressive reading glasses in April 2016. I got the men's because I thought they would fit better. They still are very snug for a men's style. I loved the lenses. I don't need for distance, but needed them for computer work and reading. They are great for that. But, there is a but coming. The frames need to be reworked from the manufacturing point. The screws don't work well. One arm came off, with no way to fix it. I put strong super glue on it, and that worked, but now can't fold it in. I also used brown magic marker to darken it, so glue wasn't noticeable. But, now the other arm came loose, got a crack in the frame, and lens fell out. I glued that too. The glasses frames are problematic, but I love the lenses, so keep on using my battered pair.

If you need different types of readers then these are the glasses for you. These are all I have worn for the last 2 years.

I love these glasses! I have been using Foster Grant multifocus glasses for over 4 years now. They are very durable and don’t break easily. The quality is great, and the price is very reasonable. Honestly, they work even better for me than my prescription glasses.

Love these! I wear them all the time. Good for near and further: multifocal works great for going from paper to screen...

Beware of lenses not properly fitted to frame. The company replaced them yet the same thing.bOtherwise they work great for tv and cell phone..

The lenses were good but the frames are trash. Im on my 4th pair. Like I dummy I thought it was random when the frame snapped near the lens, but the next pair the arm separated from the frame, the next pair the frame broke again near the nose. The final pair was a Frankenstein creation by combining parts from the broken ones. Meanwhile, my $11 specs from Walgreens endured through all the madness. I'm wearing them to type this. Sorry, Foster Grant, but you really missed the mark on the strength of these frames. I like the way they look on my face, and the transitions lenses, but your frames are trash. There's no other word that works for me after buying multiple pairs.
